Zurich Transport

Like most Swiss cities, Zurich runs on minute-perfect time. It is situated only 10 minutes away from the international airport, where regular scheduled flights from every continent and most countries land.

The most convenient possibility to get around the country is the Swiss railway, it is Europe's densest and most reliable railway system. Over athousand trains stop daily at Zurich's centrally located main station. Direct and frequent services to all large Swiss cities are available.

Local bus systems offer good connections from the train stations to the villages. Inside Zurich, trams are the most convenient possibility to get around. Always buy your ticket at the station before boarding. The unified tickets allow you to switch between train, bus, tram and boats. It's not recommended to use taxies, they're too expensive even by Swiss standards!

A well developed motorway network which links Zurich with all other large cities and neighbour countries, makes travelling by car very easy.
